Abstract
1,055,414. Photographic diazotype processes. KALLE A. G. Oct. 9, 1964 [Oct. 12, 1963], No.41333/64. Heading G2C. A process for heat developing two component diazotype materials which comprises contacting the exposed material with a developer material containing or carrying an infrared absorptive material and a substance which is either alkaline or decomposes on heating to give an alkali, exposing to infrared radiated so that alkali is released and coupling occurs. Specified alkaline substances are alkylamines, alkanolamines, alkylenediamines, aralkylamines, arylamines, polyalkylene polyamines, urotropine, ureas, thioureas, guanidine and ammonium salts. Those substances may be coated in a polymeric or a heat fusible wax layer on a paper support which is loaded with carbon black. Alternatively a plastics or metal support may be used. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 816, 601.
