Abstract
1,106,199. Thermographic processes. MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO. Ltd. Dec.21, 1965, No.54185/65. Heading G2C. Thermographic images are produced by imagewise exposing to heat a material comprising a support coated with a compound having supercooling properties so that a liquid latent image is formed and this image is developed by applying a powder developer, the super-coolable material including triphenyl phosphate. Specified materials are triphenyl phosphate alone or admixed with p-tricresyl phosphate, diphenylamine, p-aminodiphenylamine, m-phenylene diamine, acetanilide or o-hydroxy diphenyl. These super-coolable materials may be coated directly on a support or disposed in a polymeric binder before coating. After exposure and development with a developer of the type used in electro-photography, the image may be fixed by heating.
