Abstract

1,053,041. Lubricants. ANTAR PETROLES DE L'ATLANTIQUE. Jan. 1, 1964 [Jan. 3, 1963], No. 77/64. Heading C5F. Liquid lubricants for use with gears comprise a high-grade mineral oil containing the following additives:-(a) 0À5-5 wt. per cent (based on the mineral oil) of a dispersing and/or viscosityindex control additive (e.g. that available under the Trade Marks " Plexol 917 " or " Acryloid 917," comprising polymers of basic nitrogen compounds), (b) 6-10 wt. per cent of extremepressure additive (e.g. that available under the Trade Mark " Montolube 55," comprising sulphochlorinated hydrocarbons and a zinc dithiophosphate), (c) 0À2-15 wt. per cent of an additive comprising polymeric products obtained by subjecting fatty substances such as vegetable oils to an electric discharge, (d) 0À2-1 wt. per cent of molybdenum disulphide, and (e) 0À02-0À05 wt. per cent of graphite.
