Abstract

1322699 Lubricants INSTITUT FRANCAIS DE PETROLE DES CARBURANTS ET LUBRIFIANTS 8 Sept 1971 [11 Sept 1970] 41940/71 Heading C5F Lubricating oils and greases are stabilized by the addition of compounds of general formula where M is a metal selected from Groups Ib, IIb, IVb, Vb, VIa, VIIa and VIII, n is the degree of oxidation of the metal, R 1 and R 2 are monovalent aryl or aryl substituted with halogen, C 1 -C 20 alkyl, oxygen-containing and/or nitrogen-containing groups and p is 1 or 2. The oil may be mineral or synthetic and may be thickened with lithium and/or calcium stearate.
