1,052,361. Printing plates. ROLAND OFFSETMASCHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLEICHER A.G. April 14, 1965 [April 25, 1964], No. 15880/65. Heading B6C. A flexible printing plate 10 is clamped and tensioned on a cylinder 1 by a device located in a slot 2 the device comprising a rotatable shaft 3 and a clamping bar 6 having respective interengaging teeth 4 and 5. One end of the plate is held between the teeth whilst the other end is clamped between the flat side of the bar 6 and the adjacent slot wall. The shaft is rotated by a worm-wheel drive attached to the cylinder and is supported in the slot by longitudinal bearing bars 13. The wall portion 7 of the slot 2 has a groove 8 for engaging a rib 11 formed in the plate.
