Abstract

1,049,436. Switchgear structures. BROWN, BOVERI & CO. Ltd. April 13, 1965 [April 15, 1964], No. 15831/65. Heading H2B. In a cubicle contained switchgear arrangement including a switch withdrawable for isolation the switch terminals 3 are surrounded by a removable hood 11 which is formed with tubular extensions 10 which surround the isolating contacts of the switch and project into tubular insulators 9 containing the fixed isolating contacts 6. The hood is located by ribs 15, 16 and tubular parts 14 engaging the terminals 3 (Figs. 2, 3, not shown). In a three-phase arrangement (Figs. 1, 4, not shown) the hood has partitions 12 to separate the phases and the hood is located by members 14, 16 in the central phase only. A current transformer 17 may be built into the insulator 9 associated with a fixed isolating contact (Fig. 2, not shown).
