Abstract
844,098. Switchgear structures. COQ N.V. March 28, 1958 [April 1, 1957], No. 10060/58. Class 38 (5). A single oblong earthed metal casing 1 contains bus-bars 18 ... 20 and several juxtaposed three-phase switches each phase of which comprises a movable rod 4 permanently contacting a fixed contact 5 and co-operating with a fixed contact 6, members 5 and 6 being separated by an insulating tube 7 and suspended from a cover plate 2 by an insulating tube 8. Contact 5 is connected to an insulated leading-in conductor 12 by means of a metal ring 9 having contacts 10 which co-operate with a ring-shaped terminal contact 11. Contact 6 is attached to a bushing contact 14 engaging a rod 15 supported by a terminal member 17 which passes through an insulating tube 16 to support a bus-bar, e.g. 18. The switches may be connected to removable fuses 23 contained in a metal casing 22 and mounted within an insulating tube 24, the electrical connection between a cable 32 and the leading-in conductor 12 being made via a terminal box 31, conductor 29, and contact rings 25, 28. Part or all of the casings 22 and 1 may be filled with insulating liquid.
