Abstract
1,047,750. Switchgear structures; two-part couplings ; connecting pieces ; distribution arrangements. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. July 28, 1965 [July 28, 1964], No. 32268/65. Headings H2B and H2E. In metal-clad draw-out switchgear in which the bus-bars 3 are formed by individual sections 10 partly insulated by solid insulation 11, each junction between adjacent sections serves as a connecting point for a plugging contact 7 and is supported by an individual insulator 4. Each insulator 4 has an orifice portion 13 surrounding the contact 7 and a transverse bore 14 into which the ends of the associated bus-bar sections 10 and solid insulation 11 extend. The sections 10 are tubular and have connecting pieces 12 with lugs 18 secured in their ends. A threaded stem 7A of the contact 7 extends through holes in the lugs and is screwed into a metal insert 4B. The insulator may be formed in two parts secured together by adhesive on assembly.
