Abstract

1,044,417. Drying apparatus. E. G. LOESCHE. March 25, 1965, No. 12649/65. Heading F4G. Apparatus for grinding and drying hard material, e.g. minerals, comprises a mill 5 through which a stream of hot gas flows, driven by the rotor of a gas turbine 2, 3, 4 whose exhaust pipe supplies the drying gas. The turbine rotor is also connected to the shaft of an aspirating fan 6, gases leaving the apparatus via a chimney 10. A generator 7 also driven by the gas turbine supplies electric power for the apparatus.
