Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of wind power generation as a practical energy source like hydro- and thermoelectric power generation, by controlling the velocity and direction of natural wind for harnessing the energy.
CONSTITUTION: One side of each plate 1W8, all being of the same size, is fixed inside an air collecting duct 28 and another side is fixed outside a conical machine room 11, with a setting angle of within 45° away from the rotary direction of a rotor 17. The dust 28, set at the top of a pole 25, always points to the direction of wind, because its setting base 26 is swivel, bing controlled by a wing vane 27. Assuming that the area of an inlet 23 of initial wind 13 is twice that of an outlet 12 and that the velocity of natural wind 13 is ten miles per hour, the wind velocity at the outlet 12 is twenty miles per hour. This wind power is utilized to turn the rotor 17 and shaft 18 as a practical energy source for generating electric power.
