A vehicle seat cover comprises one or more layers 2 of tufted pile fabric covering the seat and backrest areas, edge panels 6, 10, 12 of non-textile material, e.g. of polyvinyl chloride leathercloth, sewn or welded to the fabric layers 2, a layer 4 of transparent synthetic plastics material, e.g. polyvinylacetate, covering the pile fabric, and means for securing the cover over the seat. Piping 16 is sewn to the corner edges of the cover which includes a back cover panel 8. The cover extends to beneath the seat to be secured by elasticated tabs 18 tied by cord or tape to the seat springs. Alternatively the. entire bottom edge of the cover could be elasticated.
