Abstract

1,097,078. Mattresses &c. BEAUVALE FURNISHING Ltd. June 14, 1966 [June 24, 1965], No. 26721/65. Heading A4M. A cushion or mattress comprises a block 5 of foamed polyurethane having a peripheral, top wall (6), 7 defining a well 8, a fluted strip 9 of foamed polyurethane disposed in the well 8, and a textile fabric 2 covering the fluted strip 9, the peripheral wall (6), 7 and the sides 3 of the block 5 and secured by a line of roll edge stitching 4. The undersurface of the fluted strip 9 has a textile covering 10 adhesively secured to the block 5. The fluted strip and its two covers, 2, 10 are secured together along spaced lines of stitching 11. The block 5 has a textile covering 12 on its underside.
