Abstract

1,059,790. Mattresses &c. BEAUVALE FURNISHINGS Ltd. Oct. 7, 1965 [Oct. 8, 1964], No. 41065/64. Heading A4M. A mattress, cushion or the like comprises a rectangular block (2) of foamed polyurethane having top and bottom fabric cover panels (4a, 4b) and a fabric cover strip (3) extending around the periphery of the block (2), the panels (4a, 4b) and the strip (3) having hemmed edges which are secured together by stitches (5) which pass through the corner edges of the block (2). An edge tape (6) may be simultaneously secured by the stitches (5) to cover the hems.
