1,042,986. Mounting and controlling heating resistances in electric hair dryers. CALOR APPAREILS ELECTRO - DOMESTIQUES. Jan. 14, 1964, No. 1636/64. Heading H5H. [Also in Division A5] In a hood-type hair drier the motor and heating components are mounted on a single support carried in the upper part of the hood. The support comprises a circular, apertured plate 10, Fig. 1, moulded in one piece with a central, cylindrical extension 11, in which the motol is accommodated. Radially extending metal arms 17, 18, set into this moulding, carry the heating coils 3, 4 and electrical connections from these and the motor are taken to a thermal cut-out switch, control switch and mains junction block also mounted on the support 10. The control switch is operated by a pull cord which hangs inside the hood and the cut-out switch, comprising a bi-metal strip actuating a snap-action switch, is provided with a resetting knob which projects upwards through the support plate 10.
