Abstract

1,042,369. Root-crop harvesters. G. KROMSCHODER A.G. Aug. 6, 1964 [Aug. 8, 1963], No. 32108/64. Heading A1F. A root-crop harvester comprises a chassis 1 having mounted thereon shares 3, two oppositely-vibrating vibratory riddles 5, 6 arranged side-by-side to oscillate perpendicularly to the direction of travel of the machine, the riddles being vibrated by a crank-shaft 11 through parallel-links 13, 13a connected to the crank-shaft by connecting rods 12 arranged on opposite sides of the crank-shaft. The shares 3 are carried by a frame-portion extending below the riddles, and are flanked by disc-coulters 4, which are carried by arms on the chassis. The shaft 11 carries a flywheel 15 to which the rods 12 are connected and is driven from the towing-tractor (not shown) which supports the chassis through a three-point linkage-bracket 10. An adjustable groundwheel supports the rear of the machine.
