Abstract

1536923 Distributing and loosening crop after threshing MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR AG 29 Jan 1976 [3 Feb 1975] 03560/76 Heading A1F Means for use with a straw shaker of a combine harvester for distributing and loosening crop from the threshing arrangement thereof comprises at least one driven cranked shaft 2 arranged transversely of the conveying direction for driving tines 3 to move laterally and in some cases longitudinally of said direction; guide means 6 guide the tines such that the lateral spacing of the free ends of adjacent tines experiences a periodic change during one revolution of the cranked shaft. As shown the tines are pivotably attached to the cranks 4 of shaft 2 and guided in bearings 6 in a fixed beam 7 extending transversely above the straw walkers 1. In other arrangements Figs. 3-8 (not shown) the tines are guided by slotted control cams (11, 12) formed in a control plate (13) extending transversely above the walkers.
