A steel reinforcing bar 1 of triangular crosssection has longitudinal ribs 2 and transverse webs 3 of angular, as shown, or rounded cross-section, the webs on one face being staggered with respect to those on any adjacent face. The webs 3 may be arched away from their respective faces 4, may be trapezoidal, rectangular, or semi-circular in cross-section, and may be straight, as shown, or U-shaped or semicircular in elevation; in the latter cases both ends of each web abut one rib, with the centre of the web touching an adjacent rib.
