1,037,860. Gas burning jets. GEORGE BRAY & CO. Ltd., J. HANCOCK, and A. WESTERMAN. Feb. 15, 1965, No. 6498/65. Addition to 1,037,045. Heading F4T. A gas burning jet has a plurality of auxiliary orifices 5 divergent from the axis of the jet which maintain ignition of the gas issuing from the main orifice 7. Gas passes to the auxiliary orifices from an annular channel 6 which communicates with the interior of the jet through two diametrically opposed slots 7. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), gas enters the channel 6 through axial and radial bores 8 and 9 in a metal socket S press fitted on to the jet. A screw 10 closes the external portion of the bore 9 and its adjustment varies the degree of obturation of the bore 8.
