Abstract

1,034,799. Electromagnets. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. April 23, 1964 [April 26, 1963], No. 16785/64. Heading H1P. [Also in Division B8] In an electrically insulating electrical coil spool consisting of a core-receiving portion 10 and two transverse end flanges 8, one flange has a series of bridged castellating slots 5a, 5a<SP>1</SP> through which the ends of wire wound between the flanges may be led to a series of spaced wire anchorage pegs 5c projecting axially from the remote face of the flange. The bridges 5b present convex wire-guiding surfaces to the slots, and the slot 5a is nearer the portion 10 in order to receive the coil starting end, whilst the others receive intermediate tappings and the finishing end. The pegs are electrically conductive, the spool may have a multiple winding, and an iron core slid into spool may be secured thereto by a soluble adhesive. The coil is applicable to electromagnetic systems such as relays.
