Abstract
1,038,932. Reels. INTERNATIONAL REGISTER CO. Feb. 1, 1965 [Nov. 10, 1964], No. 4277/65. Heading B8M. [Also in Divisions H1 and H2] An electric coil for energizing a dynamoelectric machine or a relay comprises an insulating e.g. moulded nylon bobbin 11 having integral with a cylindrical tubular core two radially extending annular end flanges 13, 14 of which one, 13, has integral therewith and extending from its outer edge a tab 15 having means 21, 22 receiving two terminals 23, 24 to which are connected the ends of an insulated wire winding wound on the bobbin, the tab, terminals and ends overlying the winding and the bobbin being surrounded by a cover means e.g. either an annular insulating sleeve 53 or circumferential layers of insulating tape. The thickness of the bobbin material between the flange and tab is reduced to facilitate bending of the latter, the means 21, 22 comprise integral projections, and the wire insulation may be enamel, plastic, or fabric.
