Abstract

1,034,583. Face masks. BENDIX CORPORATION. Feb. 10, 1964 [Feb. 18, 1963], No. 5447/64. Heading A5T. A face mask 28 adapted to be used with a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus comprises a housing 30 having a neck portion 38 to which is connected an air supply regulator 16, and a face receiving edge 34 of a size to cover solely the mouth and chin of the wearer. The air regulator 16 is connected to the neck 38 by conduit 26 which fits in the neck and is held there by collar 56, and to the supply tank 14 by line 18 (Fig. 1, not shown). The air regulator has outlet valve 21. The mask 28 is held on the face by straps 70 and by bar 58 which is held by the teeth of the wearer. The bar 58 is held in neck 38 by conduit 26.
