Abstract

Concentrated aqueous screen-wash solutions comprise an anionic detergent, a non-ionic detergent, a thickening agent and a corrosion inhibitor, all dissolved in an aqueous anti-freeze solution. The anionic detergent may be a sodium salt of an alkylated naphthalene sulphonic acid, the non-anionic detergent may be a alkyl phenol condensed with ethylene oxide, the thickening agent may be sodium or lithium polyacrylate and the corrosion inhibitor may be benzotriazole. The anti-freeze solution may be one or more alcohols with or without glycerine dissolved in water. The compositions may also contain a long chain fatty alcohol/ethylene oxide condensate and a copper-free colorant, e.g. Lissamine Green V.200.
