1,032,610. Hot-water boilers. BUDER'SCHE EISENWERKE. May 2, 1963 [Aug. 3, 1962], No. 17378/63. Heading F4A. In a vertical hot water boiler having a water jacketed combustion chamber 1 surmounted by an upper water space 7 having flow and return pipes and which may contain a hot water supply tank, finned vertical water tubes 13 connect a water-filled pocket 11 projecting from the rear wall 2 of the combustion chamber with the upper water space. The boiler may be fired by an oil or gas burner 14 or with solid fuel fed through a door 17 on to a water cooled grate 9. In a modification, the water pocket is replaced by inclined water tubes covered with refractory or similar material.
