Abstract

1,032,457. Sliding bolts. STRATFORD EQUIPMENT CO. Ltd. March 13, 1963, No. 26243/63. Divided out of 1,032,456. Heading E2A. A locking mechanism for a safe door comprises bolts 15 secured to actuating members 19, 20 the latter of which may be engaged in its locking position by a bolt 30 of a lock 29 and the former of which has secured to it a housing 37 which is engaged by a spring-biased bolt 32. To unlock the door the lock 44 is operated to withdraw bolt 43 whereby arm 40 is rotated about pivot 41 to withdraw bolt 32 and the bolt 30 of lock 29 is withdrawn. The bolts 15 may then be withdrawn by pivoting lever 23 by means of an outside handle.
