Abstract
1,028,282. Liquid fuel burners. BUSCO A.G. June 12, 1963 [June 15, 1962], No. 23471/63. Heading F4T. [Also in Division F2] A control apparatus for use with an oil burner fuel pressure governor 40, Fig. 2 (not shown), comprises a piston 30 displaceably mounted within a part 18 for movement between two limiting positions corresponding to different output pressures of the governor, a bearing disc 34 adapted to co-operate with the pressure governor and individually adjustable stop means defining the two limiting positions. The part 18 is slidably fitted over a part 15 which is screwed on to a bushing 11 provided with an axial bore 12 and fixedly mounted in the housing 41 of the pressure governor 40. The part 18 is enclosed by a sleeve 25 which engages a shoulder on the part 18 by means of a flange 26 and which is screwed to the part 15. The coaxial parts 11, 15, 18 are sealed by 0-rings 22 and 17. The piston 30 is attached by a piston-rod 33 to the bearing disc 34 which abuts the spring 44 acting on the piston 42 of the pressure governor, and is actuated by oil supplied through an inlet 20 in the part 18. The piston 42 controls the flow of oil to a burner 55 from a pump 52. The axial movement of the piston 30 is limited by a surface 19 on the part 18 and by an end face 16 of the part 15. By rotation of the parts 15, 25 the limiting positions of the piston 30 can be adjusted. The bushing 11 has a small bore 13 to fluidly connect both sides of the bushing 11. Fig. 2 (not shown), shows the control apparatus controlling the pressure governor 40 in the fuel supply line to a burner 55. The inlet 20 is connected by a two-way valve 57 either to a pipe 56 connected to the burner nozzle or by a pipe 59 to the oil reservoir 50. In the former case the piston 30 is urged downwardly to compress the spring 44 and in the latter case the piston occupies the upper position shown. Grub screws may be provided to prevent rotation of the parts 11, 15 and 25.
