Abstract

1,027,101. Feeding bottles. L. E. FOLEY. Oct. 30,1964 [Oct. 31,1963], No.42973/63. Heading A5X. A baby's feeding bottle, comprising a container to which is fitted a teat, is also provided with a separable partition across its neck, the partition providing a flow passage from the container to the teat and preventing fluid in the teat from running back into the container. As shown, the teat 22 and partition 16 are held to the bottle container 1 by an apertured cap 13 and the partition 18 is formed with a capillary flow passage 19, which acts as a fluid trap and retains the fluid by surface tension. The screw cap 13 and partition 18 are of a rigid plastics material and the teat is of a flexible plastics material. The container is of glass and is provided with graduations 24. It is said that the sucking in of air by the baby, when the bottle is tilted, is avoided.
