Abstract

1,260,107. Feeding bottle teat. L'OREAL. 26 June, 1970 [29 July, 1969], No. 31208/70. Heading ASX. A teat for attachment to a feeding bottle comprises at least one slot 4, terminating at one or both ends in orifices 3a and 3b, which prevent further extension of the slot into the soft rubber material of the teat and allows passage of air back into the bottle upon the pressure therein is decreased due to the sucking action of the baby, and the slot 4 is closed. When in use the flow rate from the teat may be regulated by adjusting the teat so that one of the reference markings 5a, 5b, 5c lies beneath the infants nose, with a maximum flow rate when marking 5c is positioned under the nose.
