Abstract
1,023,028. Drop-dispensers. I. GATH. May 1, 1964 [June 7, 1963], No. 22893/63. Heading B8T. A resilient drop-dispensing device 1 comprises a disc 8 intersected by an air-inlet tube 7 and a liquid-outlet aperture 9 communicating with a radial channel formed by walls 10 and leading across an annular recess 13 to a dispensing surface 2, 3, 4, 5 whose part 4 is arranged within the area of influence of the capillary or backflow suction of said channel such that partiallyformed drops are withdrawn into the channel when the container is restored to vertical. In one form (Fig. 2, not shown), the disc 8 is at the top of the device 1 and in another form (Fig. 5, not shown) the device has a cylindrical portion snap-fitting outside the container neck. The device may be closed by a screw cap 11 (Fig. 1) or a resilient stopper (Fig. 5, not shown).
