Abstract

1,026,809. Reinforced fabric sack. E. & M. PHILLIPSON Ltd. March 22, 1965 [Jan. 29, 1964], No. 3733/64. Heading B8K. A coal bag manufactured from jute twill sacking reinforced with a plastics material, is made from a length folded over along 4 and stitched and/or high-frequency welded along the sides 7 and 8. The mouth 10 of the bag is strengthened by turning the edge 9 over a suitable core and welding or stitching down. In the embodiment described, a plastics paste is spread on to jute twill sacking with a knife; the coated sacking is then passed through a drying chamber.
