Abstract

1,025,677. Corneal contact lens. I. P. FILDERMAN. Dec. 13,1962 [Oct. 2,1962], No. 47037/62. Heading G2J. A corneal contact lens has a front convex surface and a rear concave surface, the height of the lens being less than the distance between the normally open eyelids of the wearer. As shown, a lens 10 is supported on the lower eyelid 15 and the upper periphery is spaced from the open upper eyelid by a distance of at least 0. 5 m.m. The lens may have zones of differing refractive power, the zones being separated from each other by upwardly concave lines, and the lens may be provided with a ballast at its lower portion.
