Abstract

1,024,102. Cigarette-making machines. TABAKUND INDUSTRIEMASCHINEN DRESDEN VEB. Feb. 7, 1964, No. 5359/64. Heading A2C. Double length cigarette groups 3 in the grooves of a drum 1 are transferred to the grooves of a drum 4 where they are cut into two rows of single filter cigarettes and delivered to a conveyer 21, one of the rows being turned end for end in a helical path. The cigarettes are led off the drum 4 over a plate 16 by endless belts 11, 12, 13 and 14. The belt 14 runs over a pully 19 and holds the cigarettes of the row 8 against a stationary guide 18. The guide 18 is bent so as to turn the cigarettes through 180 degrees whilst travelling between the belt 14 and the guide.
