Abstract
1,022,835. Endless conveyers. TABAKUND INDUSTRIEMASCHINEN DRESDEN VEB. Feb. 20, 1964, No. 7098/64. Heading B8A. [Also in Division A2] Two parallel rows of cigarettes 1 to be brought together to form a single row are conveyed from a cigarette making machine by a conveyer 2 which is guided over rollers 3 and 4. The cigarettes are guided off the conveyer 2 at the roller 3 by guide wires 10 and 11. The row of cigarettes on the guide wires 10 is led downwardly and back on to the conveyer 2 after the conveyer has passed the roller 4. The other row of cigarettes on the guide wires 11 passes to chains 12 which are diagonally disposed over the conveyer 2. The chains 12 run around sprockets 27 disposed above a shoot 29 and about sprockets mounted on a shaft which is driven by a belt from a pulley on the shaft of the roller 3. Cigarettes on the guides 11 are thus conveyed both axially and transversely and discharged down the shoot 29 on to the row of cigarettes from the guides 10 already on the conveyer 2.
