Abstract

1,019,001. Castors. BRITISH CASTORS Ltd. June 26, 1962 [June 9, 1961], No. 20856/61. Heading A4U. The stem 13 of a castor is surrounded by an expansible, split sleeve 14 of rubber, synthetic resin or metal and has a lower tapered and threaded portion 19 and an upper tapered and threaded portion 20 which engage threaded parts 16, 17 of the sleeve so that screwing in of stem 13 causes relative longitudinal movement of parts 16, 17 and expansion of sleeve 14 to grip the tubular legs into which the castor stem is inserted.
