Abstract

1,018,500. Stacking-machines. MASCHINEFABBIK BUCKAU R. WOLF A.G. Oct. 1, 1962 [Sept. 30, 1961], No. 37128/62. Divided out of 966,315. Heading B8C. The machine described in the main Specification is modified by addition of rotatable plates on the tables which move between the two conveyers, the plates re-orientating the bricks resting on them during such movement so that their major dimensions finally will be normal to the direction of the movement. The grippers on the conveyers may be mechanical or suction operated. Tables 4a (4b) mounted, mirror image fashion, one on each side of the brick press 1 and equivalent to the tables 21, 22 of the main Specification are traversed along a track 6, during which movement, bricks 2 deposited on receiving plates 7a-7d are rotated 90 degrees. The bricks are picked up sequentially from the press by grippers 3a, 3e on a head which reciprocates between the two tables to charge first one and then the other set of plates 7a-7d. In one embodiment the plates are rotable about axes 8 by rods 10, 11, rollers 12, 13 on the end of which engage in guide tracks 18, 19. As the spacing of the bricks does not permit simultaneous rotation, first alternate plates and then the remainder are rotated. In an alternative arrangement, Figs. 5, 6, plates 22a-23c are rotatable about their axes as before but are temporarily separated during rotation by a rod 26 engaging their spindles 22a-22c with varying degrees of lost motion permitted by slots in the rod and its relatively fixed support 27.
