Abstract

1,033,152. Gripping and spacing bricks; stacking-machines. WOODFIELD BENNETT Ltd. April 19, 1962, No. 31587/63. Divided out of 1,033,151. [Headings B8C and B8H. The brick-stacking machine described in the parent Specification No 14803/61 has a pick-up head comprising a fixed row of grippers 66 and three movablerows of grippers 63-65. The rows 63, 64 are connected to the row 65 by rods 68, 69, so that when the row 65 is pushed away from the fixed row 66 by a pneumatic ram 67, the rows 63, 64 are also moved. The spacing produced between adjacent rows may be adjusted by moving stops 70. Bricks may thus be gripped and lifted when they are in adjacent rows and set down in spaced rows.
