Abstract
1,030,528. Stacking and bundling bricks. METAVERPA N.V. Nov. 19, 1964 [No. 19, 1963], No. 47234/64. Heading B8C. Rows of bricks 15 (Fig. 3) are raised stepwise on members 12 attached to the chains of vertical endless conveyers 4, 7 until the arms 12 pivot downwards (see Fig. 3) allowing the row of bricks to be stacked on the row beneath. The stack of bricks is then pushed laterally to a wire-tying machine. The distance between the conveyers 4, 7 is adjustable so that different sizes of rows may be stacked. In the form shown, the arms 12 are kept horizontal along the vertical run of the conveyers by guides 13 (Fig. 4, not shown). The stepwise movement of the conveyers is actuated by a pressure cylinder controlled by switches operated by the bricks.
