Apparatus for removing sets of blocks from the rotary table 1 of a block-moulding press provided with four equally-spaced moulds 2 comprises two take-off conveyers 7, 8 and two gripping members 5, 6 arranged, at a fixed distance X from one another, for to-and-fro movement on a slide 4 and are capable of being brought, by means of a reversing mechanism (not shown), to positions where on the one hand one gripper 5 deposits a set of blocks on take-off conveyer 7 whilst the other gripper 6 lifts a set of blocks from the table 1 and, on the other hand where gripper 5 lifts a set of blocks from the table 1 whilst gripper 6 deposits a set of blocks on take-off conveyer 8.
