Abstract

960,780. Endless conveyers. B. HYMAN. Aug. 10, 1962, No. 30706/62. Heading B8A. [Also in Division E2] Papers 28 are held on a carrier 78 of an endless conveyer 72 by a spring-loaded gripper jaw 19 and co-operating fixed member 18. The jaw 19 carries a laterally extending member 24 having a series of holes in a selected one of which is mounted a trigger member 26. The latter engages a cam surface 80 at the station at which the sheets 28 are to be released. In a modification (Fig. 4a) the members 24, 26 may be replaced by a rotary spindle carrying a radially spaced series of trigger members 63, 64, 65, 66. One of the latter (according to the discharge station desired), may be raised into vertical position by rotating an index knob 62.
