Abstract
1,017,765. Escapements. NIKON DENKI TAKEI CO. Ltd. Oct. 16, 1962 [Oct. 21, 1961; Oct. 26, 1961], No. 39112/62. Heading G3T. In a timepiece a tuning fork carries at least one magnet which controls or drives an escape wheel. In one example Fig. 1, a D. C. motor drives the escape wheel 25 through a spring 10 and the gear train 14, 15, 17, 18, 21, 22, the escape wheel having a magnetic periphery and cooperating with a magnet 32 carried by one tine of a tuning fork 29. The other tine of the tuning fork may carry a a counter-weight or a permanent magnet and the escape wheel may be located to co-operate with both magnets. In another example, the escape wheel comprises two wheels between which is located a magnet which is embraced by the free ends of a tuning fork.
