Abstract

101,730. Mackenzie, J. Jan. 15, 1916. Composition fuel.-Spent tan is utilized for fuel by expressing the moisture and adding ground coal-tar pitch. The proportion of pitch may be from 10 to 15 per cent, and the mixture is heated during or after mixing and pressed into blocks. Other combustible materials, such as peat, peat dust, sawdust, coal or coke dust, may be added.
