Abstract

1,016,382. Transistor circuits. BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATION RESEARCH Ltd. Oct. 23, 1963 [Oct. 31, 1962], No. 41218/62. Heading H3T. An arrangement for extracting the basic repetition frequency from a variable binary input having one binary value represented by discrete pulses, and the other by absence of pulses, comprises a capacitor C1 charged at a substantially linear rate in the absence of pulses, and discharged through a tuned circuit L, C during the presence of pulses, whereby the amplitude of oscillation produced is dependent on the interval between pulses. As described, the tuned circuit L, C is arranged to resonate at the expected repetition frequency and the capacitor C1 is discharged through the tuned circuit by applying the pulses at IP to switch on transistor VT.
