Abstract

1,015,949. Pressure dusting apparatus. R. E. COX. Aug. 21, 1964, No. 34233/64. Heading A4F. Apparatus for cleaning the interiors of omnibuses, trains, &c. comprises a frame 10 on which is mounted a pipe 15 and a bladed rotor 12, which is rotated by an air stream discharged through the pipe 15 so that brushes 14 projecting therefrom lift and loosen dirt and rubbish from the vehicle floor to be entrained in the air stream and carried forwardly as the apparatus is moved over the floor on rollers 18, 19. The roller 19 may be adjustable to ensure that the brushes 14 engage the floor as required. Alternatively the roller 19 may be omitted and the apparatus tilted by the operator about the roller 18 as desired. The removed dirt and rubbish may be collected either manually or by means of suction duct connected to a door opening of the vehicle.
