Abstract

1,015,570. Wrenches. IVES (ENGINEERS) Ltd. Oct. 19, 1964, No. 42576/64. Heading B4W. In a wheel brace comprising a box spanner 2 and a brace handle 1 forming a tommy bar lever and mounted for rotation about the tommy bar axis, the handle carries a fixedly mounted cam 6 which co-operates with a spring-loaded plunger 4 mounted in the proximal end of the spanner thereby to locate the spanner relatively to the handle in four angular positions separated by 90 degrees. The spanner has a forked end 2c having a hole therethrough normal to the gap and forming a bearing for the tommy bar, the cam 6 being rotatably located within the fork. Notches 7a are provided at 90 degrees intervals in the periphery of the cam into which the plunger is urged.
