832,019. Locking nuts &c. GIRDLESTONE PUMPS Ltd. Sept. 25, 1958 [Oct. 14, 19571, No. 32041/57. Class 89(1) A safety nut 1 of resilient plastics, e.g. polyethylene, has a bore 4 to frictionally engage and inhibit movement of the rotary shaft 5 of a potentiometer &c. 9. The bore 2 of the nut may be screwthreaded or smooth, screwthreads then being cut or forced into it by those on part 9. A cap 7 may conceal the end of the shaft. Nut 8 may not be required.
