Abstract
In the process of making pure gallium according to the parent Specification in which Ga(GaX4) is used as electrolyte, the Ga complex is replaced by Al. The compound Ga(AlX4) in which X is a halogen, is dissolved in an aromatic hydrocarbon e.g. benzene, toluene, or xylene, and molten impure gallium is used as the anode. Electrolysis is effected at 50 DEG C. An apparatus is described identical with that of the parent Specification.
