Abstract

A trackway structure for a trolley conveyer comprises a power chain accommodating track 10 and a trolley guide rail each of these having vertical side walls and inturned lower edge portions defining a pair of special rail flanges 14, 22, the flanges being in vertically spaced rotation, and a top horizontal part of the trolley guide rail being in overlapping contact with a top horizontal surface of the track 10 and permanently connected thereto, e.g. by welding as at 20. In Fig. 2 the track 10 is formed of a box section member slotted at 12. A pair of channel section members 16 are then welded to the track 10 by means of horizontal portions 19. The track is made in sections and at each end of each section the upper portions of the members 16 are cut away (Fig. 1A) to expose the track 10 so that the sections may be welded together as at 23. In Fig. 2A both the track 10 and the trolley guide rail are box section members and their vertical side walls are also welded together.
