Abstract

Cases made from special blanks; lined cases; cases designed to be of variable capacity; card and like cases.-A case for cigars, cigarettes, matches. &c. is made from a blank shaped as shown in Fig. 1. The lower section is folded against the middle section, and the portions 5, 6 are secured to the portions 2, 3 by adhesive or other means, so that a pocket is formed between the sections 1, 4. The upper section is then folded down, and finally the side wings are folded over the pocket. The portions 3, 6, 9 may be dispensed with, so that the case has only one side wing. If desired, a piece 12 of tinfoil or other suitable material is secured to the blank, and the portions 2, 3 may have flaps, which are folded on to the portions 5, 6 after the lower section has been turned up. In another form, the portion 23, Fig. 10, of the lower section is secured in such a manner as to form an additional pocket, which may be torn off along the perforated line 27. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modified form of case for carrying loose papers, made by folding a blank and securing portions 35, 36, Fig. 12 (cancelled), to portions 32, 33, a pocket being thus formed between portions 31, 34. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
