Abstract

1,008,366. Bearings. V. J. COPLEY-MAY. Dec. 28, 1961 [Sept. 29, 1960], No. 33394/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading F2A. [Also in Division B5] A self-lubricating bearing is formed of a shock-cured laminated material made up of at least one layer of a shock-cured resinous material of the kind which is readily shockcurable, and at least one layer of a resinous material containing colloidal graphite, which is not shock-curable or not readily shock-curable, the latter layer or layers being disposed so as to provide the bearing surface or surfaces. In an example, the layers are of asbestos cloth impregnated with a phenolic resin, the bearing layer also containing colloidal graphite. Specification 1,008,367 is referred to.
