Abstract

1,007,718. Two-part couplings. C. K. FINCH, and K. S. FINCH. Feb. 4, 1963 [Nov. 3, 1961], No. 39538/61. Heading H2E. A resilient plug comprises a housing 10, made either of brass or an insulating plastic, having a hole in it, in which are secured a group of at least three resilient pins 15 plated with a good conductive metal, the pins being in contact with each other and with the surface of the hole 13, extending beyond the end of the housing and being splayed apart to give radial resilience. The pins may be secured by means of a central peg 17, which holds the pin in jamming engagement with the surface of the hole, or as in Fig. 3 (not shown), by means of solder. If the housing is made of brass it may have an extension 14 to which the connecting leads may be soldered, or between which they may be crimped.
