Abstract

1,007,358. Caps and holders for thermionic valves. PRESSAC Ltd. Feb. 20, 1964 [Feb. 27, 1963], No. 7843/63. Heading H2E. A high voltage electric connector for a cathoderay tube having a rubber cap 1 and side entry socket 3 for a cable 10 is provided with a rigid plastic member 7 which screws on to the tapered socket and has a reduced diameter portion 8 which is longitudinally split. A rigid plastic sleeve 9 screws on to this portion so making it grip the cable firmly, thereby reducing the strain on the joints 6 and 5 where a resistor 4 is soldered to the cable core and contact clip 2.
